- What is the best way to get to the Fairview Estates Bed & Breakfast?
We recommend you take Warrick Barn Road to Lowesville Road if you are using GPS or Google maps. Fariview's driveway is the 1st driveway on the left after you turn onto Lowesville Rd from Warrick Bard Rd. We are at the end of the long gravel driveway. This is the best route from any direction. We do NOT recommend taking VA-60, as you will likely miss our driveway.
From Charlottesville an points north, take US-29 South. Take a right on VA-56 (Tye Brook Hwy). After 5 miles the road will fork. Bare left at the fork towards VA-151 South. At the stop sign, make a left onto VA-151 South (Patrick Henry Hwy). In about 2 miles there will be a large "Welcome to Amherst" sign. Almost immediately after the sign, make a right on Warrick Barn Road. Follow Warrick Barn Rd for about 2 miles until there is a stop sign. At the stop sign, make a left onto Lowesville Road. Fairview's driveway is the 1st driveway on the left. This driveway is shared with a small rancher up near the main road. Fairview is the large estate house at the end of the gravel driveway.
From Lynchburg and points south, take US-29 North to VA-151 North (Patrick Henry Hwy). After about 6 miles, there will be a sign for route 665 which is Warrick Barn Rd. Make a left on route 665/ Warrick Barn Rd.

We were at Fairview this time last week. Absolutely breathtaking! Jennifer was a pleasure to deal with and really took the time to make sure our stay was fabulous. Amazing views and modern conveniences made it a pleasure to stay in the house. We're already making our return visit plans!
What a beautiful place! Guest: Whitney (Richmond, VA)
Fairview was perfect for our family Christmas vacation. Eight adults shared this lovely house for six nights. The property is accurately described on VRBO; the pictures don't do it justice. The house is elegant yet comfortable. The property is quiet and pastoral. We enjoyed the beautiful vistas from every window; Fairview is the perfect name for this house. Arriving after dark on Christmas Eve we were thrilled to find Fairview beautifully decorated for Christmas. The house appeared to be glowing with warmth from the lovely light fixtures and the gas log fireplaces. It was truly a 'storybook' Christmas for us complete with snow on Christmas Day. From inside the warm house we watched the white Arabian horses romp in the field and the peacocks, chickens, and ducks, strut across the yard. We especially enjoyed the dining room table which seats 8 to 10. We lingered long at the table after every meal and gathered around it for card games, conversation, and lots of laughter. We slept soundly and well in the comfortable beds which are appointed with high quality linens. The owner was so kind and patient with me as I asked numerous questions before our stay. She responded promptly and thoroughly to all my emails. My daughter-in-law wants us to spend every Christmas at Fairview. She will get no argument from me!

Our weekend at this property was magical. Its a beautiful house and the attention of the owner, Jennifer can be felt all over the house. The house is beautiful and very personal. Its ideal to get away from the city and have all the comfort of being out of town with the beauty of nature and the house. I recommend this property very highly. Thank you Jennifer.

We have rented many cabins and cottages in this area and this one was definitely our favorite. The house and furnishings are absolutely gorgeous, with spectacular views from every window. We also loved the horses, cows, and peacocks all around. We would recommend this rental to everyone and we will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time at fairview this weekend! When we arrived and toured the house we could not help but keep huge smiles on our faces. After seeing the downstairs bedroom we thought that we would all have to fight over it but each room we went into was just as charming and wonderful as the one before it. The house was beautifully decorated and the views were breath taking! As a child I visited Nelson county often and I had no problem at all finding my way around. We ate at the devils backbone brewing co. and were very happy with it. The horseback riding was unforgettable and of course the massage was wonderful. We loved the house so much that it was very sad when it was time to leave. I researched a lot of different places in VA and NC before deciding on fairview for our weekend away and I was not disappointed. I am already trying to think of another reason to come back :) thanks again for all your help!!
